During the month of March, O participated in the “Março Jovem” program, promoted by the Municipality of Portimão, through various activities aimed at young people, trainees and the educational community.
The initiative integrated workshops, educational actions, cultural, sporting and well-being activities, involving around 290 students from schools in the municipality, as well as teachers, technicians and trainees from the institution.

The activities aimed to promote the sharing of experiences, encourage active citizenship and reinforce learning in a practical context.
Trainees take an active role in initiatives
DUAL Portimão graduates played a central role in boosting the initiatives, contributing to the development of personal, social and professional skills.

Active participation also made it possible to highlight professional training as a qualification route aligned with the demands of the job market.
On March 24th, DUAL Portimão promoted a day open to the community, marked by sharing experiences and direct contact with the training environment.

Students and teachers from Bemposta and Monchique schools visited the facilities, being welcomed by the trainees, who took on the role of hosts and presented their journeys. The initiative was also attended by representatives from the Employment and Professional Training Institute.
During the day, visitors attended practical and theoretical classes, with emphasis on the kitchen area.
Workshops and networking strengthen connections to the job market
The activities extended into the after-work period, with thematic workshops promoted by professionals and partner companies, such as “Da Horta à Tigela” (Kitchen) and “Hands on – Tools Würth” (Maintenance).
The program culminated with a moment of conviviality and networking, promoting interaction between trainees, trainers, companies and the community.

DUAL Portimão gives a positive assessment of its participation in “Março Jovem”, highlighting the participation of schools in the municipality and the involvement of participants.
The institution also recognizes the support of Portimão City Council, particularly in terms of travel, highlighting the importance of collaboration in carrying out activities.
