Vienna – A 34-year-old wanted after a fatal shooting in Vienna-Ottakring last November is in custody. As the State Police Directorate and the Interior Ministry announced on Friday, the suspect was arrested at Istanbul Airport on January 31st. The authorities extradited him on Wednesday and officers from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office arrested him. On November 6, 2025, he is said to have shot a man and injured another in front of a bar on Payergasse.
