Embraer must maintain financial discipline with the arrival of a new CFO, analysts point out

Embraer () announced this Friday (10) the appointment of Felipe Santana Santiago de Lima as the new chief financial officer (CFO). The executive who, until then, served as Global Treasury Director, begins his new role on Monday (13).

The move comes after ‌the resignation of Antonio Carlos Garcia last week, to assume the same role at Azul.

For Bradesco BBI, the appointment should guarantee the continuity of the company’s current strategy, with low execution risk and maintenance of the financial discipline observed in recent years.

Santana has 18 years of experience at the company and has extensive experience in finance and treasury within Embraer. Throughout his career within the company, the executive has collaborated with financial operations, treasury, insurance, customer financing and shared services.

For Santander, by choosing to follow an internal succession plan, Embraer reduces execution risks during the transition. According to the statement, Santana has several years of experience within the company, with familiarity with the financial structure and financing dynamics.
