Opposition will summon ministers to question end of 6×1 – 04/10/2026 – Panel

In an offensive against the government, opposition deputies filed requests to summon three ministers and demand explanations about the end of the .

The idea, which has deputy Maurício Marcon (PL-RS) as its author and is supported by other parliamentarians, is to question the members of the government and the costs to the businessman.

The targets of the requests are the ministers of Finance, , the Civil House, Miriam Belchior and Labor, .

The requests can be approved by the Constitution and Justice Committee and the Economic Development Committee as early as next week.

The opposition’s bet is to wear down the government. Deputies believe that ministers will not have the economic basis to defend the end of the 6×1 scale.

While the Chamber discusses a PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) on the subject, an urgent bill with the same content is being proposed to demand flexibility from deputies.

The text is still undergoing adjustments and will only be sent after President Lula speaks with the President of the Chamber, (-PB).
