Representatives from Israel and Lebanon will meet next Tuesday, the 14th, in a meeting at the United States Department of State, in Washington, to discuss the possibility of a truce.
The information was confirmed by the press office of the Lebanese Presidency in a publication on the X social network.
The meeting was agreed in a telephone call held on Friday afternoon, the 10th, between the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Yehiel Leiter, and the Lebanese ambassador to Washington, Nada Hamadeh Mouawad. Lebanese representative Michael Issa also participated in the call.
“During the call, it was agreed that the first meeting will be held next Tuesday, at the US State Department, to discuss the declaration of a ceasefire and the date for the start of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel,” the statement concluded.
