No more guesswork! Scientists have solved the eternal question about centimeters: Just this difference and women’s satisfaction drops sharply

Classic question “Does penis size matter?” receives a new scientifically based answer. Researchers from the University of London found that the size of the penis – specifically the depth of penetration – can affect women’s sexual satisfaction. Size does matter, but only to a certain extent.

The authors found that for some women, the size and depth of penetration may play a role, although individual experiences vary. Experts from the University of London involved twelve heterosexual couples in the study. Men were provided with silicone rings that are placed at the root of the penis during erection and artificially shorten the depth of penetration. The rings were designed so that either they did not change the penetration in any way, or they shortened it by approximately 2.5, 3.8 or up to 5.1 centimeters.

Female partners evaluated their experiences after each intercourse, but did not know which ring was used. The evaluation concerned overall sexual satisfaction, satisfaction with penetration, and emotional connection with the partner.

The analysis of the results shows that reducing the average penetration depth by approximately 2.5 centimeters resulted in an eighteen percent decrease in overall sexual satisfaction. “Initially we thought that penetration depth would not be very important to most women. However, reducing penetration depth by one inch has been shown to have a significant impact on perceived satisfaction levels.” said the lead author of the study, Dr. David Veale, quoted by the Independent.

Veale also added that the longer the erect penis, the less impact the use of the ring has on sexual satisfaction. At the same time, however, he emphasized that some women may in certain situations feel penetration as more pleasant even with a smaller depth.
