Without agreement with Iran, Donald Trump goes to UFC 327

Shortly before JC Vance, Vice President of the United States, announced that Iran had refused an agreement to put an end to the conflict in the Middle East, American President Donald Trump arrived at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, to watch UFC 327.

Trump was seen alongside, among others, Dana White, president and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Friends, they recently agreed to hold a league event at the White House, on June 14th, with Brazilian Alex “Poatan” Pereira in the main fight.

The trip to the gym in Florida, in fact, represents Trump’s first appearance at a sporting event since the start of the war against Iran. The American president’s presence in UFC fights, however, is nothing new. Last year, for example, he was at UFC 316.

JD Vance says US did not reach agreement with Iran on war

Shortly after Trump arrived at the Kaseya Center, the vice president of the United States said that Iranian negotiators had refused to accept the proposed terms for a deal.

“We’ve been at this for 21 hours and we’ve had several substantive discussions with the Iranians. That’s the good news,” Vance said at a news conference in Islamabad, Pakistan.

According to him, the Americans were “quite flexible” in the proposal.

“The president told us, ‘You need to come here in good faith and do everything you can to reach an agreement.’ We did that and, unfortunately, we were unable to move forward,” said the vice president.

Vance suggested that the main point of contention was Iran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear program.

“We leave here with a very simple proposal, an agreement that is our final and best offer… we will see if the Iranians will accept it,” he said.

The vice president now returns to the United States.
