Venice – The dispute over Russia’s participation in the Venice Art Biennale is entering the next round. The EU Commission has initiated proceedings to withdraw funding if the cultural institution sticks to its decision to allow Russia to participate again. According to a statement, there is a risk of losing funds amounting to around two million euros for the period up to 2028.
