The dog as a superhero: “Commissioner Rex” and the feeling of coming home

German Shepherd Rex and serial owner Maximilian Brückner didn’t have an easy start. “The casting was difficult, I was the only one Rex didn’t want to take a photo with.” Why? “It was probably because I had previously been with the sheep at our house. Rex is very special when it comes to smells. So at the beginning things didn’t go well with both of us,” says Brückner in the STANDARD interview. In the new edition of Commissioner Rex From Monday he plays Chief Inspector Max Steiner. “Now we are one heart and one soul. But I like it when something starts out a little more complicated. Then it becomes all the more beautiful. It’s happened to me many times in my life,” said Brückner.
