US President Donald Trump on Sunday ordered the US Navy to block all vessels in the strategic Strait of Hormuz that have paid transit fees to Iran. After Saturday’s announcement about the “cleaning” of the strait from mines, Washington is moving to an open blockade of international waters.
The US Navy will begin blocking “all ships” that try to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday. “I have ordered our navy to search and stop any vessel in international waters that has paid a fee to Iran,” he wrote on Truth Social.
