Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Wednesday (15) that an extension of the ceasefire had not been defined.
The diplomatic initiative came at a time when American and Iranian officials were considering returning to Pakistan for new negotiations, after (12) no progress.
Officials from Pakistan, Iran and Gulf countries also said both sides could do so in the coming days.
Baghaei stated that contacts continued .
Baghaei also addressed the issue of Iranian assets, saying: “The release of Iranian assets is not a concession in our view; in our view, it is Iran’s rights that have been violated. It is like a thief stealing your property and then wanting to return it as a concession.”
