Currently, the minimum wage is R$1,621, after a 6.79% increase this year
The federal government announced that the minimum wage could rise to R$1,717 at the beginning of 2027, with payment starting in February.
The 2027 Budget Guidelines Bill (PLDO), sent this Wednesday (15) to the National Congress, contains the projection, but the value may still change.
The definitive value of minimum wage will only be known in December this year when the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) for November is released.
Currently, the minimum wage is R$1,621, after a 6.79% increase this year. As a result, the change in the minimum wage in 2026, if the economic area’s projection is validated, will be 5.92%, equivalent to an increase of R$96.
