Ried im Innkreis – An 83-year-old from the Ried district shot his 77-year-old wife on Saturday. The man then tried to shoot himself, but failed, the police said in the evening. The man picked up his wife from the nursing home on Friday evening and brought her home. Before the crime, the 83-year-old left a will and a note in his neighbors’ mailbox asking them to call the police, they said.
