In these first months of the year alone, the PT member was involved in more than ten actions aimed at this segment, including seminars, ceremonies and publication of measures to benefit women — always accompanied by First Lady Rosângela da Silva, the .

The frequency of agendas with themes aimed at the female group increased from the second half of last year.
During the period, more than five laws were sanctioned with direct or indirect benefit to this public, including one. The texts provide, among other measures, for the immediate use of electronic ankle bracelets for aggressors and the classification of the crime of vicaricide (murder of children or relatives as part of domestic violence).
Furthermore, in February the government published a decree that improves the functioning of Ligue 180, a telephone number for reporting complaints, and established October 17th as the National Day of Mourning and Remembrance for Women Victims of Femicide.
This month, Lula sanctioned the regulation of the doula profession, responsible for monitoring pregnancies and births.
Planalto also promoted a seminar for Presidency employees against feminicide, in February. Organized by the so-called Conselhão, a body linked to the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, the event separated a hall for women and another for men. Janja and Lula participated by watching the lectures in their respective groups.
The PT member also sought to emphasize the presence of women in sport with some events and actions in the area. One of them was the forwarding to Congress of a bill with measures relating to the holding of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
As part of the World Cup Cup Tour ceremony, the initial plan was also to receive the Women’s Cup trophy, which did not happen. According to the organization at the time, due to logistics problems, the item did not arrive on time.
Lula also began to include the topic of violence against women in almost all of his speeches. Janja’s influence, in turn, was also expressed by the president on more than one occasion.

And today, on the plane, she asked me: ‘Take responsibility for a tougher fight against men’s violence against women on planet Earth'”, he declared during an event in Pernambuco, in December last year.
Despite events and measures aimed at women, Lula’s ministry is mostly made up of men.

In two other portfolios, women took the place of ministers: Miriam Belchior replacing Rui Costa in the Civil House, and Fernanda Machiaveli taking the place of Paulo Texeira in Agrarian Development.
The issue of women’s inclusion also circulated around Lula when sectors of society demanded that the president appoint a minister to the (Supreme Federal Court). The PT member, however, opted for men in the two nominations he made to the court.
