The price of a basic food basket reached a record high this week and now costs almost R$260. At the Alvalade Market, in Lisbon, traders feel the increase in prices, mainly nproducts that arrive in smaller quantities.
The traders take stock of a week who saw the value of the basket of 63 foods and increase by sixth time in a row.
The basket food costs now 259 euros and 52 cents.
Since the first week of the year, a Deco Protests monitored eight varieties of fish and registered a increase of almost 10 euros in price. To buy a one kilo set these types of fish you have to spend 94 euros.
For traders, price fluctuations are related to the time.
