‘I have nothing to say’, says senator about Messiah – 04/21/2026 – Panel

Bolsonaro senator Marcio Bittar (PL-AC) says he has nothing to talk to the minister of the AGU (Attorney General of the Union), but he is not rude enough to not receive him if he appears in the office.

Bittar is one of the only senators with whom Messias has not yet spoken to the STF (Supreme Federal Court), six months ago. The tour of the 81 offices is common because, in a secret vote, the authorities appointed by the president.

last week Messias managed to remove from the list two senators who resisted receiving him: Hamilton Mourão (Republicanos-RS), former vice president of the Republic of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), and Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE).

“I have nothing to talk to him about, but I’m not rude. If I’m in the office and he goes, I won’t fail to answer,” says Bittar, adding that he always made it clear that he wouldn’t vote in favor of Messias and that the minister didn’t ask for an agenda with him directly either.

Messias (Constitution and Justice Committee) of the Senate on the 28th. The expectation is that his name will be put to a vote in the plenary on the same day. The minister needs at least 41 of the 80 votes (the president of the session can only vote in the event of a tie).
