Tavira was the stage, this Saturday, for a memorable sporting celebration with the return of the Cidade de Tavira Tournament, organized by with the support of the Tavira City Council. The event marked the return of the city’s pride in grassroots football, highlighting the talent and sportsmanship of young athletes.
With the participation of four teams – Ginásio Clube de Tavira, Futebol Clube Ferreiras, Clube Desportivo de Beja and San Roque Balompie Cantera (Spain) – the tournament brought the city a day full of emotion, unity and fair play. According to the Management of Ginásio Clube de Tavira, “Football has returned to Tavira and is here to stay!”, reinforcing the commitment to revitalizing the region’s football tradition.
The games took place throughout the day, offering moments of great intensity and dedication from the athletes. The tournament also had the support of families, who filled the environment with joy and companionship, consolidating the event as a true community celebration.
