Trump spoke about the deployment of nuclear weapons in Iran: The words about total destruction fell

American President Donald Trump declared on Thursday that will not use nuclear weapons in a war with Iran. TASR informs about it based on a Reuters report.

  • Donald Trump has declared that he will not use nuclear weapons in a possible war with Iran.
  • Trump claims that Iranian targets have been seriously destroyed by conventional military means.
  • According to Trump, the US military would be able to destroy Iran’s new stockpiles quickly.
  • Trump declares the pursuit of a permanent peace agreement with Iran, not an immediate one.
  • The White House has officially denied that the United States is threatening Iran with nuclear strikes.

“Why would I use a nuke? We’ve completely destroyed them without it, by pretty normal means.” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked about the potential deployment of such weapons in a war with Iran. “I wouldn’t use them. No one should ever be allowed to use a nuclear weapon.” he emphasized.

The head of the White House besides urged reporters not to “hound him” when asked how long he would be willing to wait for a peace deal with Iran. According to Trump, Iran may have replenished its stockpile of weapons “a little bit” during the ceasefire, but he stated that the US military could solve this in about a day.

“Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone, their anti-aircraft defenses are gone… they may have restocked a bit during the two week layoff, but if that’s the case, we’ll destroy them in about a day.” Trump declared. “I want to make the best deal. I could make a deal right now…but I don’t want to do that. I want it to be permanent.” the US president added according to Reuters.

On April 7, Trump threatened Iran that “the whole civilization will perish and never come back,” but hours later he agreed to a cease-fire, which he extended on Tuesday. Vice President JD Vance also warned that the United States is ready to intensify attacks on Iran with weapons not yet used. However, the White House denied that it had threatened nuclear strikes, AFP reported.
