Trump and JD Vance are safe after being removed by security staff from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The initiative will be rescheduled within 30 days.
Melania Trump is also safe.
The incident happened after about 6 gunshots were heard when Trump was on stage.
At that point, the metal detector would have signaled the presence of a weapon… The secret services acted immediately and one of the agents was actually shot.
Otherwise, there are no reports of injuries.
The shooter, who is believed to be around 30 years old and from California, was detained by authorities.
Members of the Trump administration were immediately removed from the room and guests were forced to seek refuge.
