Oscar Schmidt had a remarkable time in Corinthians basketball between 1995 and 1997. He led the team in winning the 1996 Brazilian Men’s Basketball Championship, being the best scorer and MVP (best player) of the competition.
Oscar’s death
Ten days ago, after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest at his home, according to the City of Santana de Parnaíba.
He was taken to Santa Ana Municipal Hospital and Maternity, but was admitted to the unit without vital signs. City hall reported that the former athlete was already in cardiorespiratory arrest at the time of treatment and did not survive.
