In the eighth round of the eleventh series of the glossy Let’s Dance show, things got really hot. This is not about beans anymore. The seasoned contestants were fighting to advance to the semi-finals. The best of the best danced two competitive dances on Sunday. In addition to classical ballroom dancing, 5 couples had to learn choreography under the guidance of a contemporary artist, who tailored it for them.
However, the evening also brought a unique bonus. As a special dance number, the cult work Vták Ohnivák, directed and choreographed by Ján Ďurovčík, returned to the scene. The jury executioner was moved and rightly proud after the performance, he had no idea what was coming. The world champion in Latin American showdance and a judge of this year’s Let’s Dance series was enthusiastic about the dance number led by Ďurovčík and decided to pay tribute to her colleague in a live broadcast.
“It is a privilege for our nation to have such a versatile artist and personality as you Janko. It was beautiful, it touched me. Thank you for opening our eyes..” Arcolinová confessed to Ďurovčík. “This cannot be listened to,” replied the moved Ďurovčík with modesty in his voice. “Thank you, thank you for opening our eyes when it comes to dance and showing what is possible. And not only dance, but also humanity, so… it’s really a great honor for me to sit next to you and learn from you,” Arcolinová finished, a moved Ďurovčík immediately hugged her.
The Let’s Dance show is very popular among Slovaks, and this year Markíza allowed the audience to admire the dance creations of our celebrities with their own eyes. Television allowed viewers to purchase audience tickets and enjoy the prestigious competition live. Every Sunday, the dance hall in Bratislava’s Incheba is sold out. Fraudsters also used the huge demand for tickets for their nefarious purposes.
A few days ago, the television itself warned that fake tickets for Let’s Dance were in circulation. They decided to warn the Slovaks about this danger again right during the live broadcast of Let’s Dance. Moderators Jana Kovalčiková and Adam Bardy urged all viewers to be careful.
“For all viewers who would like to come to us in person, we have an important message. Fraudsters have started selling fake tickets for Let’s Dance. Therefore, please be careful to avoid unnecessary disappointment. You can buy your tickets in the only way and that is through ticketportal.sk. In no case do not let yourself be caught.” pointed out the presenters during the live broadcast of the dance show.
