Washington – US President-elect Donald Trump announced at Christmas that he would campaign for a vigorous implementation of the death penalty immediately after taking office in January. Trump wrote on his “truth social” platform on Tuesday that he would issue a corresponding instruction to the Justice Department. His actions were intended to protect “American families and children from violent rapists, murderers and monsters.”
