The National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) has initiated another sanctioning file for a “very serious” infraction within the framework of the electricity zero of April 28, 2025 to Iberdrola for its nuclear generation. Specifically, this new file from the regulator, against Iberdrola España and Iberdrola Generación Nuclear, is for a possible breach of article 64.37 of the Electricity Sector Law, which affects the “reduction of production or supply without authorization/repeated failure to comply with availability obligations.”
