“For the Senate, we want the composition of a majority ticket in the state of São Paulo, which will be very aligned with Tarcísio, and who will have the final say there is Eduardo together with President Bolsonaro”, said Flávio in an interview
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) indicated that the definition of candidates for the Senate on the PL ticket in São Paulo will depend directly on former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro. The statement was made this Monday, 27th, after participating in an event in the interior of São Paulo alongside governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
“For the Senate, we want the composition of a majority ticket in the state of São Paulo, which will be very aligned with Tarcísio, and Eduardo will have the final say there together with President Bolsonaro”, stated Flávio in an interview.
One of the names that has been gaining strength is that of the president of the São Paulo Legislative Assembly, André do Prado. According to Flávio, the state deputy was recently in the United States, where he “had a good meeting” with Eduardo Bolsonaro.
The senator added that federal deputy Guilherme Derrite is already considered the right name for one of the vacancies in the Senate race. The second nomination, however, still depends on political approval within the group, especially from Eduardo and the former president.
Flávio also regretted his brother’s absence from the electoral race. “Our candidate is not Eduardo Bolsonaro because he is another persecuted politician, who had to give up his life, his profession, his friends, his family and go outside the country”, he said.
The composition of the ticket in São Paulo is treated as strategic for the alliance that supports Flávio’s presidential candidacy and Tarcísio’s re-election attempt to the state government.
