The president of the PP, , stated, this Monday (April 27, 2026), during a dinner promoted by the Esfera group, that the result of the 2026 presidential election depends heavily on the decisions of the senator (PL-RJ). “Today it is very much in Flávio’s hands to win the election”he declared.
The speech was made during a debate with party leaders and guests at the event. Ciro assessed that the right-wing camp remains competitive for the next presidential contest, but it will depend on the capacity for political organization and the choice of the name that will represent this group.
According to the president of the PP, the presidential succession remains undefined. “The election today is very undefined”he stated. For him, there is room for a change of scenery until the election, depending on the decisions taken in the coming months.
Ciro also said that the decisive electorate represents a smaller portion of the total number of voters. “Today the electorate that decides the election is around 13%“, he declared. In his assessment, this group is mainly concentrated in Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
When commenting on the profile of a competitive candidate, the senator stated that whoever manages to reduce political polarization will win. “Nobody can take this discussion, these disputes anymore”these.
