Ford’s electric 2200 hp Mustang breaks world speed record

How many fastest electric cars in the world can there be? The answer “one” would be too simple. Over the quarter mile – for fans of the metric system: 402.34 meters – Ford’s Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 is now considered the highest of emotions. The Mustang needed 6.87 seconds to run the quarter mile from a standing start on Sunday. The top speed is said to have been 221 miles per hour (355 km/h), as Ford Racing announced in a posting on Facebook.
