With the creation of a fund to restructure debt of R$240 million, the club counts on the sponsor to sign the player
Midfielder Oscar is back at São Paulo, the club that revealed him. The signing, considered high-cost, was made possible with the support of sponsor Superbet, which will contribute in part to the player’s salary. In addition to the monthly salary, the agreement includes bonuses and conditions that were adjusted to close the negotiation.
O Poder360 found that Oscar’s contract provides for a salary of R$2 million per month, totaling R$24 million annually, lasting 3 years. Superbet will contribute R$12.87 million annually (around 2 million euros), while São Paulo will be responsible for the remaining R$11.13 million.
This amount allocated to Oscar’s payment is in addition to the R$52 million per year that Superbet already invests as the club’s master sponsor. Thus, the company’s total disbursement reaches R$64.87 million per year, adding up to R$52 million for brand exposure on the uniform and other club properties, in addition to R$12.87 million for the athlete’s salary.
The agreement includes actions and marketing, in addition to bonuses.
RESTRUCTURING OF SÃO PAULO
São Paulo, at a time of economic restructuring, sought alternatives to reduce expenses and deal with its debt. As part of this strategy, the club created a FIDC (Credit Rights Investment Fund), with the objective of raising R$240 million, which will help replace most of its debts with banks.
The measure also provides greater predictability in cash flow, essential to sustain new investments in football.
Oscar’s return to the Morumbi club represents a strategic move to attract fans and consolidate commercial partnerships. With the confirmation of the agreement, São Paulo is preparing for a new cycle of growth and success, counting on the support of Superbet to strengthen the team and its presence in the market.
