The pre-campaign of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), who will seek re-election, has seen failures in the artillery used by the Workers’ Party (PT) against the governor. Internally, at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, Tarcísio’s allies believe that there is no news that Fernando Haddad’s (PT) pre-campaign can bring. The assessment is that the current governor “has already been attacked by the PT in the last six months”, since Tarcísio was the focus, when he was the main candidate for President of the Republic.

In the view of assistants, some themes that have been central to the opposition, such as the fight over the “paternity of works handed over” by management to the State, are helping in the re-election of the governor instead of causing the opposite effect. For interlocutors, the points, which were part of one of Haddad’s first videos against Tarcísio, in fact, only show “the good execution capacity” of the current government.

The understanding is that the PT is making a “strategic error”. “Saying that they lent money is not a big deal. It is the federal government’s obligation. It is a great strategy for us”, summarized a source. In the video, Haddad states that “never has a federal government worked so hard for São Paulo” and that a large part of the state government’s investments were made with federal resources.

In addition to the paternity of deliveries, as already shown by Young Panother issues mapped and considered sensitive are the system of Even so, reading in the corridors of Bandeirantes is that much has already been used on social media to criticize Tarcísio on the subject in recent months, with little practical effect.

Topics considered most complicated at the moment are also receiving special attention from the governor. Case of the discomfort of mayors from the interior with the Tarcísio administration which, as the column anticipated, has reverberated in A person close to Tarcísio assessed that the movements are directly impacting the plans of pre-candidate Haddad.

The biggest bottleneck, at this moment, is still seen as public safety. Recently, for example, Haddad’s new play explored the subject. The videos talk about the feeling of insecurity, the number of robberies and cell phone thefts, as well as the increase in organized crime.
