The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), announced this Tuesday (28) a credit line of R$1.2 billion for agribusiness in a speech during Agrishow, the national agricultural fair that takes place in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo.

Tarcísio also reported that 250 thousand property titles were delivered throughout his management. He informed that two more were delivered today, symbolically, in addition to investments and financing that are being made aimed at small producers in the state of São Paulo.

O governor also criticized the PT’s stance due to a regularization law approved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp). President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s (PT) party went to court to halt the effects of the proposal.

Bill No. 410 of 2025, which was sent by Governor Tarcísio, proposes the amendment of three state land regularization laws and, according to opposition parliamentarians and popular movements, deepens the dismantling of agrarian reform policy in the state.

Flávio criticizes Lula, makes promises to agriculture and praises Tarcísio

Presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) spoke about the governor of São Paulo in his speech at the event on Monday (27). In his speech, Flávio also criticized the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), made promises to the agricultural sector and praised Tarcísio.

The parliamentarian said that the Lula government is worried about “trampling on and suffocating agribusiness” and in persecuting political opponents. Flávio also mentioned the “mission” that, according to him, he received from his father. “Everyone knows that it wasn’t me who had to be here, but the [ex-]President Jair Bolsonaro”, he stated.

To the sector, the pre-candidate promised strengthening. “I want to commit to all the agendas brought here [no evento]. From 2027 onwards, agriculture will be even more valued. You will not have a government [os] persecuting, but will give you a hand”, he declared.

About Tarcísio, Flávio stated that “There would be no one better in São Paulo” to “walk” alongside. The senator also declared that the governor of São Paulo has “full capacity to be president”.
