On April 24th, the event ‘Investimentos a Sul’ was promoted, which filled the D. Paio Peres Correia Hall, in Paderne, bringing together mainly businesspeople interested in finding out about financing solutions and available community funds.
The initiative also provided a space for debate on opportunities for economic growth, with the participation of Luís Coelho, director of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve, Pedro Bastos, manager of Nutrifresco, Ana Raquel Plettenberg, administrator of the Luna Hotels & Resorts Group, and António Castel-Branco, administrator of Naturafish.
Event brings together entrepreneurs and experts
David Alves, president of the Board of Directors of Crédito Agrícola de Albufeira, gave “an extremely positive assessment” of the initiative, highlighting the strong public support.

The person responsible highlighted that “we had a strong participation of businesspeople from various parts of the Algarve, which shows that we had quality speakers and that the topics covered were relevant”.
Furthermore, he added that “as a result of the various interventions that took place, we ourselves also drew several conclusions, which will allow us to improve the offer of Crédito Agrícola, making new products available to entrepreneurs with new conditions, which respond to the specific needs of the various sectors of activity in the Algarve region”.
Partnerships reinforce knowledge and sharing
The event was organized in partnership with BECORPORATE Consulting and SGM – Sociedade de Garantia Mútua, entities linked to strategic consultancy and support for business development.

Dário Gonçalves, representative of BECORPORATE, considered that the initiative was more than a formal presentation, stating that it was not a “mere lecture”, but rather “a rich morning, a different morning”, where participants were able to “learn experiences and practical cases”.
Filipa Domingos, representative of SGM, also highlighted the relevance of these actions, highlighting that they are “hugely important”, as they allow “clarifying doubts and sharing ideas with partners, customers and other interlocutors”.
Crédito Agrícola considers new initiatives
Given the registered membership, Crédito Agrícola de Albufeira admits the holding of new similar events, possibly with other partners and focused on current topics such as sustainability or cybersecurity.

With this type of initiatives, the institution intends to reinforce its proximity to the region’s business fabric, asserting itself as an active partner in supporting the development of local companies.
