The rapporteur of the matter, deputy Paulinho da Força (Solidariedade-SP), told Jovem Pan that the government has already recognized that it does not have the votes to maintain the veto on dosimetry
The session of the National Congress to analyze the overturn of the presidential veto on dosimetry of penalties began this Thursday (30) with heated spirits among parliamentarians from the government and opposition bases.
On the Bolsonaro side, parliamentarians chanted the slogan “choro is free”. The base responded in kind: “Crying is free, but Bolsonaro is not.”
The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, conducts the session in a calmer and milder manner than on Wednesday (29), when he presided over the vote on the appointment of Messias to the STF.
Outside the plenary, Family members of those arrested on January 8th attended the session and defended the overturn of the veto. At the presidency table, Bolsonaro parliamentarians sat next to Alcolumbre to closely monitor the vote.
The rapporteur of the matter, deputy Paulinho da Força (Solidariedade-SP), told Young Pan that the government has already recognized that it does not have the votes to maintain the veto and has stopped making efforts to block the vote.
