The President made a statement this Thursday (April 30) in light of Labor Day, celebrated on May 1
The president (PT) stated that “For women, the situation is much more difficult” when talking about the end of the 6 X 1 scale. The statement was made in a statement to the radio and TV network this Thursday (April 30, 2026) due to Labor Day, celebrated on May 1st.
This is the 2nd national declaration made by the PT member in 2026. In March, Lula in the 3rd term on Women’s Day, a flag considered a priority by the government.

- Treasury Guarantee: use of the guarantee fund to reduce creditors’ risk and lower interest rates;

One of the most important issues for Planalto is the end of the 6 x 1 scale. The agenda has been sold as a welfare policy for women, a group considered one of the focuses of the campaign – female voters represent the majority of voters.
On April 14, the government sent the document to Congress. The project was built comprehensively. The text also changes complementary legislation to that dealing with specific categories, expanding the scope of the reform.

Lula’s statement was made 1 day after one of the biggest political defeats of the president’s 3rd term. The score in the Chamber was 318 votes against and 144 in favor of maintaining the measure. In the Senate, 49 to 24, respectively.
The project, which reduces penalties for crimes of coup d’état and abolition of the rule of law, benefits former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and another 849 people convicted of the extremist acts of January 8, 2023. The overturning of the veto marks yet another defeat for the Lula government in its third term.
