SP Chamber creates Brazil-Israel Parliamentary Front – 05/01/2026 – Panel

The São Paulo City Council approved the creation of a Brazil Parliamentary Front, with the aim of facilitating the city’s relationship with the country. The new bench was proposed by councilor Cris Monteiro (Novo).

“We want to stimulate entrepreneurship, attract knowledge and promote partnerships that bring real opportunities to our city, especially for micro and small entrepreneurs”, argues the councilor.

Proximity to Israel has become an asset for conservatives, especially evangelicals.

São Paulo’s initiative repeats that of the National Congress, which approved the creation of a Brazil bench last year. The group is today one of the most numerous, with 179 federal deputies and nine senators.
