Quaest: Vilela leads in GO and would beat Perillo in the 2nd round – 04/30/2026 – Politics

Governor Daniel Vilela (MDB) leads the dispute for the Government of Goiás, according to a Quaest survey released this Thursday (30).

In the first round scenario, Vilela has 33% of voting intentions against 21% for former governor Marconi Perillo (PSDB). Next, federal deputy Adriana Accorsi () and senator Wilder Morais (PL) appear, with 10% and 9%, respectively.

Blank or invalid votes total 12% and another 15% of voters said they still did not know who they were going to vote for.

The survey was commissioned by Genial Investimentos and registered under number GO-00211/2026.

The margin of error is three percentage points, plus or minus. The survey interviewed 1,104 voters between Friday (24) and Tuesday (28).

The research tested a second scenario with another PT candidate, Edward Madureira. Vilela scored 33%, followed by Marconi Perillo with 21%, Wilder Morais with 11% and Madureira with 5%.

Blank or invalid votes total 15% and another 15% of voters said they still did not know who they were going to vote for.

In a third scenario without the PT’s own candidacy, Vilela has 34% against 21% for Marconi Perillo, 10% for Wilder Morais and 5% for Cíntia Dias ().

Two second round scenarios were tested. In the first, Daniel Vilela appears with 46% against 27% for Marconi Perillo. In the other scenario, Vilela would have 51% against 21% for Wilder Morais.

The emedebista was vice-governor and took over the government of Goiás in March after the resignation of (), who left the position to run for President of the Republic.

He will have the challenge of facing Marconi Perillo, who led the state for four terms, the first two from 1999 to 2006, and the other two from 2011 to 2018.

Senator Wilder Morais will be the representative of Bolsonarism in the race for the Government of Goiás, while the camp allied to the president (PT) continues without a defined candidate.

The Quaest survey also heard from voters about the assessment of Daniel Vilela’s government. Among those interviewed, 5% said they considered the government negative, 21% evaluated it as regular, and 69% as positive.

In the dispute for , former first lady Gracinha Caiado (União Brasil) leads with 22% in the combination of votes.

Next come Vanderlan Cardoso (PSD) with 12%, Dr. Zacharias Calil (MDB) with 11%, Gustavo Gayer (PL) with 10%, Delegate Humberto Teófilo (Novo) with 8%, Alexandre Baldy () with 5%, Oséias Varão (PL) with 3%, and Iure Castro (Cidadania) with 1%.

Humberto Chaves (PSOL) and Professor Marcelo Moreira (PSOL) did not score.

Whites and nulls total 12% and 16% said they don’t know who they are going to vote for.
