One man and one woman were killed in a Russian drone attack on a minibus in the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. Another seven people were injured, the governor of the Kherson region Olexandr Prokudin informed on Saturday. This was pointed out by the DPA agency, writes TASR. The attack took place in the early hours of the morning. Among the injured were six men and one woman who were taken to the hospital, Prokudin said on the Telegram platform.
Russian forces occupied the city of Kherson on the Dnieper River shortly after Moscow’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, DPA explains. At the end of the same year, however, they had to retreat across the river after the Ukrainian counter-offensive. Since then, the front line has been located immediately east of the city, which is regularly subjected to Russian bombardment with artillery, drones and rockets, adds DPA.
