Shakira dedicates show in Copacabana to women: “We are invincible”

Colombian diva Shakira49, dedicated his show on Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro, to women. With a speech made entirely in Portuguese, the singer raised her anthem “women don’t cry”.

“It’s a dream for me to be living this with you. I definitely think that life has ways of rewarding us, and this is one of them. You know that my life hasn’t been the easiest in recent years, but no one can be saved from falls. And what I know is that we, women, every time we fall, we get up a little wiser, stronger, more resilient, because women don’t cry anymore”, celebrated Shakira.

“And, therefore, this show will be dedicated to all of us. As a writer I admire says: ‘women alone are more vulnerable, but together we are invincible”, she added.

At another point in the megashow, I also spoke in favor of mothers, especially single mothers.

“In Brazil there are more than 20 million single mothers, who have to fight every day. I am one of them. Today’s show is dedicated to all of them, the mothers, and the single women.”

Shakira took the biggest hits of her career to the sands of Rio. The star performed a historic show celebrating more than 30 years of her career.
