One total solar eclipse predicted to be the longest lasting of the 21st century should occur in 2027. The forecast is for “day to turn into night” for more than six minutes, at which point the Moon will completely cover the Sun.
This is unprecedented, and the next one should only occur after the year 2180.
Scheduled to take place on August 2, 2027reports that the total solar eclipse will be visible in southern Spain, northern Africa, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

A partial eclipse will be visible across most of Europe, much of Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, eastern Canada, northern Maine, the United States, as well as the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
That is, the Brazilians will not be able to watch the total eclipse. Still, other phenomena must occur before the long-lasting event.
It is worth remembering that it is necessary to take several precautions when observing an eclipse, such as specific certified protective glasses to avoid permanent damage to your vision.
In addition to the biggest solar eclipse of the century, Brazilians can follow an annular solar eclipse on February 6, 2027. Another event with total blocking of the Sun also takes place on August 12th this year, but without visibility for Brazilians.
