Genial/Quaest survey released this Wednesday (May 6, 2026) indicates that the president (PT) is disapproved in 6 of the 10 states included in the survey. The PT member is approved by the majority of voters in Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará and Pará. Read the (PDF – 5 MB).

The survey also asked how voters evaluate Lula’s government. The majority considers it “positive” in Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará and Pará. In Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro and Goiás, the majority of interviewees consider it “negative”.

Genial/Quaest interviewed 11,646 people in the States of Goiás, São Paulo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, Ceará and Bahia, from April 21 to 28, 2026. The margin of error is 2 percentage points in São Paulo and 3 in the other States. The confidence level of the survey is 95%.
