He-Man fans can now celebrate: Sony Pictures confirmed that part of the cast will arrive in Brazil in May to promote the long-awaited film inspired by the 80s classic. Among the confirmed names are Camila Mendes, Nicholas Galitzine and director Travis Knight. The screening will take place in São Paulo, a few weeks before the film’s official debut in theaters.
The new adaptation of “He-Man” promises to transform one of the biggest pop culture icons into an epic superproduction. In the film, Nicholas Galitzine plays Prince Adam, who must accept his destiny as He-Man to face the terrible Skeletor and save Eternia from destruction.
One of the biggest highlights of the project is Camila Mendes, an actress known worldwide for playing Veronica in Riverdale. Daughter of Brazilian parents, the actress plays Teela, a warrior responsible for protecting the royal family of Eternia and one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.
The cast also brings together big names from Hollywood, including Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Mentor, Alison Brie in the role of Maligna and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Grayskull.
Directed by Travis Knight, known for and , the film takes a grander and more emotional approach to introduce He-Man to a new generation. The production has also been attracting attention for its huge budget and visual effects, which promise to recreate Eternia on a cinematic scale.
In addition to nostalgia, “Masters of the Universe” arrives surrounded by expectations as it tries to repeat the recent success of live-action adaptations of classic franchises. With action-packed trailers, epic battles and visuals inspired by the original animation, the film is already among the most anticipated releases of 2026.
