The 55-year-old man arrested last Saturday (9) for killing his wife, in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo, has served as Municipal Civil Guard in the municipality for at least 22 years.
According to the investigation of the CNN Brazilthe couple was participating in a get-together after making their union official when they had a disagreement inside the residence, located in the DIC IV neighborhood. The argument, which later evolved into physical aggression, was the turning point for death.
According to witnesses, Daniel Barbosa Marinho would have took the working gun and shot his wifeNájylla Duenas Nascimento, 34 years old.
Afterwards, after leaving the property, the municipal guard still returned shortly afterwards and shot Nájylla more times.. Teams from Samu (Emergency Mobile Assistance Service) were called and provided assistance to the victim, but he did not survive his injuries.
Nájylla leaves behind three children from a previous relationship.
In a note, the SSP (Public Security Secretariat) informed that the case was registered as feminicide and domestic violence at the 2nd Police Station for the Defense of Women in Campinas.
The man was arrested red-handed on Anália Franco Street, where the crime took place. Police seized a firearm and ammunition from him.
After his arrest, Daniel Barbosa Marinho was sent to the public jail of the 2nd Police District of Campinas, where he remained at the disposal of the Justice Department. The case must also be investigated administratively by the Campinas Municipal Guard.
