Vienna – A former professional footballer, who even played a match for the local national team in his heyday, is currently serving a 14-month unconditional prison sentence. The spokeswoman for the Vienna Regional Court, Christina Salzborn, confirmed a report in the daily newspaper Today in response to an APA request. The ex-footballer was convicted of serious commercial fraud in Vienna at the beginning of 2025. Just two months later he became a fraud again.
