da opened registrations for the free online course “Combating Misinformation in Times of AI”, scheduled for the period from May 11 to June 7, 2026.
Aimed at journalists, fact-checkers, editors, press officers, teachers and students, the course seeks to discuss the impacts of the circulation of false content and present tools for identifying and combating misinformation.
The course is asynchronous, with no mandatory live meetings, allowing participants to follow the activities at their own pace throughout each week. The training will be carried out in partnership with The classes will be led by Cristina Tardáguila and Raphael Kapa.
Participants will also have contact with ) techniques, including geolocation, reverse image search and video analysis to identify manipulated or out-of-context content.
The program also dedicates a specific module to the relationship between artificial intelligence and information integrity. Generative AI platforms will be discussed, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and NotebookLM, as well as concepts linked to the use of prompts and practical applications of AI in fact checking.
Another axis of the course deals with the use of deepfakes in electoral and crisis contexts. Classes discuss everything from digital manipulations aimed at political disinformation to monitoring strategies and tools for identifying counterfeit content.
