The spectacular 11th season of the dance show Let’s Dance, which was broadcast by Markíza TV, already knows its winner. This year’s series was subtitled Gladiators. It already indicated that he was on the dance floor they kill the best of the best. At the beginning of March, seven winners of the previous series and three finalists appeared in front of the cameras.
They performed on the dance floor Ján Koleník (winner of series 7 in 2022), Nela Pocisková (winner of the 4th series in 2010), Jakub Jablonsky (winner of series 9 in 2024), Juraj Mokrý (winner of the 3rd series in 2009), Christian Baran (winner of series 10 in 2025), Vladimir Kobielsky (winner of the 6th series in 2017), Gabriela Marcinková (second place in the 8th series in 2023), Petra Polnišová (second place in the 3rd series in 2009), Zuzana Porubjakova (second place in the 10th series in 2025) a Janka Hospodárová (winner of the 5th series in 2011).
So the competition was really huge and the judges looked at every detail. However, there could only be one winner. In the end, Zuzana Porubjaková and dance partner Matyáš Adamac won the title of king and queen of the dance floor. Ján Koleník and Dominika Rošková took second place, and Kristián Baran and Eliška Betaková Lenčesová took third place.
During the final, the dance couples performed three dances. The first was a brand new dance and the second was their improved dance from previous rounds to show how much progress they had made. The biggest novelty was the third dance, the so-called showdance. All couples danced to the same Latin American song, but each had their own choreography. This made it clear to see the differences in their creativity and energy.
All rounds of Let’s Dance were broadcasted live and the audience enjoyed the magic of live broadcasts. After unpleasant mistakes, the dancing couples did not have the opportunity to stop the music and start again. Spectators witnessed, for example, the terrifying fall of Juraj Mokrý and Natália Glosíková or unpleasant slips.
The moderators – Adam Bardy and Jana Kovalčiková – had their own experience as well, who argued more than once, resulting in really funny situations. It also happened in the final after the last scoring round, in which Zuzana Porubjaková and Matyáš Adamec performed.
“And this was the last scored dance tonight. So I will ask for a foreign one… Not a foreign one, don’t worry, they don’t pay us from abroad,” Kovalčiková saved her embarrassment, started laughing and put her hand in front of her mouth. She finally corrected herself that she meant the final judging table.
