Cultural tips of the week: A Jewish dog and art in public spaces

First it’s just the tone of voice, then a sign on the fence, then violent behavior: This is how the dog Shosha experiences the beginning of the Shoah in Germany. Based on the novel A Jewish Dog By Asher Kravitz, Yonatan Esterkin has created a stage version in which he tells the years of National Socialism from the perspective of an animal. In Stefan Otteni’s direction, Tamara Stern embodies the four-legged friend and his ideologically unclouded perception. At the next performance on May 15th at the Landestheater Vorarlberg there is free entry for accompanying persons. Audience discussion following the performance. (afze)
