Ceremony marked the first time that the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, and the Brazilian leader, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) were together after government defeats
Minister Nunes Marque took office this Tuesday (12) as president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). André Mendonça is the vice-president. Even amid tension between the Three Powers, representatives of the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary branches were present at the event.
The ceremony marked the first time that the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, and the Brazilian leader, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), were together after the the latest defeats of the Lula governmentwhich had the Attorney General of the Union (AGU), Jorge Messias, rejected for the position of mini-eto of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and the approval of Dosimetry, which will favor former president Jair Bolsonaro, arrested for an attempted coup on January 8, 2022.
This was also the first time that Lula and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) have been at the same event together since the two announced their candidacy for president.
