Zelenskyy warns against a new wave of Russian drone attacks, which may hit Ukraine as early as Wednesday. Daily airstrikes increase the risk for civilians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi warned of a possible escalation of Russian drone attacks, which could hit the country as early as Wednesday. According to his statements, more than 100 drones were recorded in Ukrainian airspace. At the same time, Reuters reports that Russian attacks are increasingly taking place during the day, which represents a new challenge for the Ukrainian defense and the civilian population.

  • Volodymyr Zelenskyi warned of a possible escalation of Russian drone attacks on Wednesday.
  • More than a hundred Russian drones were recorded in the airspace of Ukraine.
  • Russia is increasingly carrying out daily attacks on railways and civilian targets.
  • Ukraine shot down most of the 139 drones launched, despite civilian casualties.
  • Ukraine is attacking the Russian energy sector in order to weaken the war machine.

“Russia continues its attacks indiscriminately and deliberately targets our railway infrastructure and civilian objects,” Zelenskyy said on the social network X. He added that it is necessary to reflect every attack and at the same time alert the world to the ongoing Russian aggression.

Intensification of daily attacks

Since the start of the war in 2022, Russia has conducted drone and missile attacks mostly at night. However, in recent weeks, there have been more and more frequent daily attacks, which significantly disrupt the daily life of civilians. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, Russia launched 139 drones into Ukraine, of which 111 were destroyed. Despite Moscow’s denial of attacks on civilian targets, the war has already claimed thousands of civilian casualties.

At the same time, Zelenskyi emphasized that the support of Ukraine from the international community is crucial. “We cannot be silent about the Russian war,” he appealed to world leaders.

Ukrainian counterattacks on Russia

In addition to defense against Russian attacks, Kyiv also conducts its own operations on Russian territory. Recently, it has focused mainly on the Russian energy sector, while these attacks are limited to a smaller scale. Ukraine’s strategy aims to weaken Russian infrastructure and disrupt Moscow’s ability to continue its aggression.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense, with the intensity of fighting and attacks constantly increasing. Both sides of the conflict continue to escalate, increasing the pressure on the international community to find a solution to this crisis.
