Violence has struck again in force for almost a month. At least 13 people, including several children and members of different families, died this Wednesday in a new wave of bombings launched by Israel.
According to the Lebanese authorities, the attacks hit several family homes in different locations in the country and have already raised 25 the number of deaths in less than 24 hours.
One of the most devastating bombings hit directly a house in Arab Salim.
A couple, their son and several entire families

Among the victims were at least three children.

The new escalation is causing enormous tension in the region because it occurs just when both countries were trying to move towards consolidating the truce.
A new round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon is scheduled for this Thursday and Friday in Washington to specifically address the extension of the ceasefire and explore possible diplomatic solutions to the conflict.
Bombings near Beirut
One of the most worrying aspects is that several of the attacks have occurred, something that increases fear of a new expansion of the conflict.
During this Wednesday morning they had already died another twelve people in bombings against vehicles and different targets throughout the country.
The total number of deaths in less than a day now amounts to at least 25 people.
An increasingly fragile truce
The ceasefire between came into effect just a few weeks ago after months of tension and cross attacks.
However, the situation on the ground remains extremely unstable and both sides accuse each other of constantly violating the agreements reached.
The new wave of attacks threatens now with further complicating the talks planned in the United States and once again placing the Middle East on the brink of a new regional escalation.
