The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Guilherme Boulos, defended the revocation of the mandate of senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic, after the website The Intercept Brazil having published a report that says the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) negotiated R$ 134 million with businessman Daniel Vorcaro to finance a film.
“It’s very serious. We’re not talking about inference, suspicion, accusation without proof. Here we’re talking about an audio,” Boulos told the press. “Unless it is said that this audio is a lie, that it is not the voice of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, or that the audio was tampered with, if this audio, in fact, is from Flávio Bolsonaro, the discussion is not just about the CPI, it is about his mandate in the Senate, which has to be revoked”, he continued.
The minister reiterated: “Unless it is tampered with, unless he says that someone imitated his voice, he is not in a position to remain a senator of the Republic. He must be impeached.” The statements occurred while leaving the special commission on the end of the 6×1 scale in the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília.
Boulos also highlighted that, according to the report, Flávio sent a message to Vorcaro saying “I will always be with you” the day before the banker’s arrest. For the minister, this is not a “small case”.
“This citizen wants to be president of Brazil? Asking for R$134 million? It wasn’t at any time, it’s important to say, because it could be said that he didn’t know what was at stake. It was the day before he was arrested. In other words, all investigations were already public.”
According to the website The Intercept BrazilFlávio asked Vorcaro for money to pay expenses for the film “Dark Horse”, which tells the story of Jair Bolsonaro. “I’m embarrassed to keep demanding you, but it’s just that this is a very decisive moment in the film and, as there’s a lot left behind, everyone is tense, worried,” said Flávio, according to the audio released.
