Cristiano Ronaldo has reached an agreement to become a strategic partner and shareholder of LiveModeTV, the international arm of LiveMode, the Brazilian sports media and streaming company that owns CazéTV. The announcement, made this Thursday (14), is part of the company’s global expansion project, with an initial focus on Portugal during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Portuguese player now holds a relevant stake in LiveModeTV, an entity created specifically for the internationalization of the digital transmission model that LiveMode has already consolidated in Brazil.
With an estimated net worth of US$1.4 billion, Ronaldo is considered the first footballer to reach billionaire status and has built a diversified portfolio across brands, hotels, gyms and media. At 41 years old, the player currently plays for Al-Nassr, in Saudi Arabia, and has already stated that he has plans to acquire football clubs after his retirement.

Continues after advertising
LiveModeTV takes the digital transmission model developed in Brazil by LiveMode abroad. The company’s main channel in the country, CazéTVrecorded 3.7 billion views on YouTube in 2025. According to the company, 11 of the 16 biggest live streams in the platform’s history took place on the channel, which ranks first among live sports destinations on YouTube in the world.
LiveModeTV begins its international operations with the broadcast of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Portugal, where it will show a game daily on YouTube for free.
Ronaldo has more than 660 million followers on Instagram, where he is the most followed person in the world, as well as having a presence on YouTube. The company intends to use this reach to distribute broadcasts in Europe and other markets.
Thiago Tourinho, partner at LiveMode, stated that Ronaldo’s entry represents “a very powerful validation” of what the company has built so far. “Few people represent the sport’s passion, ambition and global reach as well as he does, and his long-standing connection with new generations of fans makes this partnership even more meaningful,” he said.
