PF says that Master’s Rio branch had bookkeepers and police officers

Those investigated would be part of the group known as “A Turma”, identified by the PF as responsible for face-to-face threats

The Federal Police states that a branch of the organization being investigated would not be formed by “jogo do bicho operators, militiamen and police officers”. The assessment is contained in the , of the Federal Supreme Court, which authorized the .

According to the investigation, the nucleus would be part of the group known as “The Gang”, identified by the Federal Police as responsible for face-to-face threats, target monitoring, clandestine surveys and illegal obtaining of confidential information.

Rio arm

According to the Federal Police, the Rio branch would be led by Manoel Mendes Rodrigues, described as an operator of Jogo do Bicho in Rio de Janeiro and local articulator of the investigated structure.

The decision states that the group would act to intimidate and pressure opponents linked to the Banco Master case. According to the investigation, members of the nucleus carried out face-to-face actions and were mobilized to monitor and threaten targets of interest to the organization.

The investigation cites an episode that occurred in Angra dos Reis (RJ), in June 2024. According to the Federal Police, members of “A Turma” were called to intimidate people linked to the professional circle of , founder of Banco Master.

The decision reports that there was a determination to carry out a “survey of everything” about the targets and monitoring of family members. Witnesses interviewed by the investigation stated that one of the men involved in the threats introduced himself as “Manoel”, a friend of Daniel Vorcaro and linked to Jogo do Bicho.

“The Gang”

The group known as “The Gang” is described by the Federal Police as the face-to-face and police-informational arm of the investigated structure. “The Gang” would be associated with threats, intimidation, clandestine monitoring, obtaining confidential data and improper access to government systems.

According to the investigation, the nucleus would include active and retired federal police officers, Jogo do Bicho operators and other collaborators. The Federal Police claims that the structure was used to pressure opponents and critics linked to the Banco Master case.

In addition to “A Turma”, the investigation points to the existence of another group, called “Os Meninos”, described as a nucleus specializing in cyber attacks, digital invasions and taking down profiles on social networks.

Investigators investigate crimes involving criminal organization, threats, corruption, money laundering, hacking of computer devices and violation of functional secrecy.
